§ 10-36. Obscenity not permitted.

Nothing in this article shall be construed to allow or permit the possession, distribution and transportation of obscene materials or to authorize the exposing of persons under 17 years of age to motion pictures, exhibitions, shows, representations and presentations of specified sexual activities or persons displaying or exhibiting specified anatomical areas. These matters are preempted to the state and are subject to state regulation, and it is not the intent of the city council to legislate with respect to preempted matters.
