§ 10-76. Responsibility.

(a)

Ultimate responsibility for the administration of this article is vested in the city manager.

(b)

The building/life safety services section, which consists of occupational licensing, permitting and inspections, is responsible for the following:

(1)

Verifying information contained in applications for adult entertainment licenses and for issuing all licenses.

(2)

The inspection of licensed premises and premises applying for a license in order to pass upon the construction and physical configuration of the premises involved.

(3)

The inspection of licensed premises and premises applying for a license to ascertain compliance with:

a.

All statutes or ordinances in effect in the city.

b.

All zoning regulations and all other applicable land use laws.

(c)

The county department of health is responsible for inspections pertaining to health codes and applicable state laws and regulations.

(d)

The fire rescue department is responsible for inspections pertaining to fire prevention codes and applicable statutes thereon.
