§ 14-9. Time for qualifying.

(a)

The qualifying period for candidates in the regular scheduled city election shall begin at 9:00 a.m. on the 98th day, preceding the scheduled regular election and the closing date for the qualifying period shall be 4:00 p.m. on the 85th day, preceding the scheduled regular election.

(b)

The qualifying period for a special election shall be by resolution of the city council in accordance with the provisions of section 6.04 of the City Charter.
